YOSEMITE WITH CATS & DOGS

Welcome! If you’re here, there’s a good chance that you love your fur babies and enjoy bringing them with you on adventures. I know it is hard to navigate where we are and aren’t allowed to bring our furry family members AND even more difficult to navigate is where cats are allowed versus dogs. Well, the good news is that if your leashed dog is allowed there, so is you leashed cat!

Let’s jump right into where they can and can’t go in Yosemite.

Allowed:

  • Your vehicle with you in it (please be mindful of the weather anytime you have your furry family members in the car with you).

  • Paved trails. I will shared some trail names below. Also note that your furry family members must remain leashed at all times.

  • All campgrounds allow pets, except walk-in campgrounds.

NOT allowed:

  • Public Buildings, hotels/lodges, wilderness, beaches, meadows, shuttle buses with the exception of service animals.

Don’t leave home without them:
