Join me for a FREE day hike to one of my favorite places in Mariposa County - that is NOT in Yosemite National Park! Fur babies on leash are TOTALLY welcome to join us! <3 Don’t have a fur baby? Come anyway! :)
WHERE? We will meet at the Best Western Plus Parking lot in Mariposa, at 9:30am. The last stop for gas is the Valero gas station in Catheys Valley, so be sure you filled up by then. :)
WHAT? This is a 3.9 miles “out-and-back” trail that is considered moderately challenging and will take about 2 hours round trip without all of our stops for photos, sightseeing, cooling off in the waterfall pools (if water levels allow it safely) lunch, etc. With our stops, I’d estimate it will take more like 3-4 hours from start to finish.
COST: Absolutely FREE!
WHAT TO BRING:
PLENTY of drinking water and/or a water filtration system to drink from the river when accessible.
Comfortable hiking shoes. Make sure they are broken in.
Bug spray
Sunblock and a sun hat (if hats are your thing)
Your packed lunch
First aid kit (maybe I’m “extra, but I don’t leave home without one)
Trekking/Hiking poles (if that’s your thing)
NOTES:
You are responsible for you own health and safety. As well as the health and safety of your fur baby should you decide to bring them. This is a free “event”, by participating, you are taking full responsibility for your own actions and safety - as well as the health and safety of your canine companion(s).
I will only be bringing 6 people with me. These events usually fill up in less than 24 hours, so reserve your spot right away.

Please put this event in your planner/calendar as soon as your spot is confirmed - so you don’t forget that you signed up for it and double booked yourself. If you reserve a spot and change your mind for any reason, I kindly request that you give me 1 week to try to give someone else the opportunity to join us in your absence. :)
If you are bringing your fur baby, please make sure they get along with humans sand other dogs. Don’t forget to bring water for your fur baby as well!
