Join us for a leisurely hike around the beautiful Hume Lake! I haven’t done this hike yet but it’s been on my list for a while. The views look amazing and from what I can see, there are lots of adorable places to cool off (in addition to the lake)!
I will also likely be bringing my SUP’s (stand up paddle boards) too if you would like to hang out with us after the hike to relax continue the fun!
WHO? YOU & your canine and/or feline companions.
WHERE? We will meet at Sandy Cove Day use parking lot at 10:00am. Look for my White Toyota Tacoma, we will gather here. Feel free to let me know if you’d like to carpool! I can maybe accommodate ONE person if you are not bringing a pet. My whole back seat will be designated for my fur children. :)
WHAT? This is a 2.8 miles “loop” trail that is considered easy and will take about 1-1/2 hours total, WITH all of our stops for photos, sightseeing, potential lake dips to cool off, etc.
WHEN? Saturday June 1st 2024
COST: Absolutely FREE!
WHAT TO BRING:
Drinking water
Comfortable hiking shoes.
A swimsuit, in case you want to take a dip in the lake at any point!
Sunblock
Snacks
First aid kit (maybe I’m “extra, but I don’t leave home without one)
A positive attitude
Your fur baby! This is optional of course.
BONUS:
I will also generously be providing FREE professional photos of you from the days adventures as keepsakes. I mostly capture candid shots but also include some curated photos as well. Be sure to let me know ahead of time if you have something in particular in mind.
NOTES:
You are responsible for you own health and safety. As well as the health and safety of your fur baby (cat or dog) should you decide to bring them. This is a free “event”, by participating, you are taking full responsibility for your own actions and safety - as well as the health and safety of your canine/feline companion(s).
I will only be bringing 6 people with me. These events usually fill up in less than 24 hours, so reserve your spot right away. 1 SPACE LEFT
To reserve your spot, email me at Hilda.intothewild@gmail.com and title it “free June hike”. Please also be sure to let me know if you are coming alone or bringing a cat/dog or friend. :) If you are choosing to book overnight accommodations, I suggest you do it asap because although accommodations are very inexpensive, I’ve learned the hard way that availability is limited in this part of the world.
Please put this event in your planner/calendar as soon as your spot is confirmed - so you don’t forget that you signed up for it and double booked yourself doing something else too (yes, people have done this in the past). If you reserve a spot and change your mind for any reason, I kindly request that you give me at least 1 week to try to give someone else the opportunity to join us in your absence. :)
If you are bringing your fur baby, please make sure they get along with humans and other animals. Don’t forget to bring water, treats and eco friendly poop bags for them as well!
